19. How do you handle account matching?

When you upload a CSV of companies, how does the vendor match them to their database? (Do they match by company name, domain, D&B ID?) Ask for their matching accuracy rate.

20. What happens to our data if we cancel?

Ask: "Can I export all our data in a standard format?" You don't want to be locked into a vendor.

21. What does customer success look like?

Ask: - Do we get a dedicated customer success manager? - How often do we meet for QBRs (quarterly business reviews)? - What does onboarding training look like?

22. What's your response time for technical issues?

Ask: - What's your average response time for support tickets? - Do you offer 24/7 support, or business-hours only? - Do you have a community forum or Slack channel?

23. Can we talk to 3 current customers in our industry?

References matter. Ask for customers similar to you (company size, industry, use case).

Red flag: Vendor won't provide references.

24. What's your product roadmap?

Ask: "What features are you building in the next 12 months?" If they're building features you need, great. If they're stagnant, skip.

25. What's your contract flexibility?

Ask: - Can we do a 1-year contract (not 2-3 years)? - Is there a monthly option to get started? - Can we cancel if you miss agreed-upon outcomes (e.g., implementation timeline)?
